As vice president for information security at Centene Corp. and CISO of Carolina Complete Health, based in Charlotte, North Carolina, Doten supports both the North Carolina health plan and corporate Centene in a cybersecurity leadership role. He previously worked as a virtual CISO supporting international companies and developed the curriculum for a cybersecurity master’s degree program. Doten is a frequent speaker at cybersecurity conferences and is a member of The CyberWire Hash Table. He is part of the editorial panel of the Council on CyberSecurity Critical Security Controls and is the lead author of version 8, the newest version of the controls. He is also on the board of his local ISC2 chapter.
