ISO Issues Records Storage Guidelines

Focus on secure long-term preservation The International Organization for Standardization has published two documents that provide guidelines for secure long-term preservation of health records in any format.

A new technical specification defines architecture and technology-independent security requirements for both electronic health records and e-archiving systems.

The technical specification, and a related implementation guide, concentrate on such security requirements as data integrity, confidentiality, availability and accountability.
