Vendors Collaborate to Share Latest Cyberthreat Intelligence

A look at the future of cyberthreat intelligence sharing leads the latest edition of the ISMG Security Report.

In the Security Report, you'll hear (click on player beneath image to listen):

  • Cyber Threat Alliance President Michael Daniel, the former White House cybersecurity coordinator, detail steps the alliance and its members - major security vendors - take to share vast amounts of cyber threat intelligence data daily;
  • HealthcareInfoSecurity Executive Editor Marianne Kolbasuk McGee explain how states may take up legal efforts to get makers of medical devices and apps sold to consumers to assure their products safeguard customer privacy and security; and
  • ISMG Security and Technology Editor Jeremy Kirk report on legal efforts, since withdrawn, to block the U.S. government efforts to get Twitter to reveal users badmouthing the new administration on the social network.

The ISMG Security Report appears on this and other ISMG websites on Tuesdays and Fridays. Check out our April 4 and April 7 reports that respectively analyze how examples from the physical world can be applied to the virtual world to defend against the insider threat and new ideas to recruit and retain cybersecurity professionals in the U.S. federal government.

The next ISMG Security Report will be posted on Friday, April 14.
