Using Data for ID Management

Consolidating Information Improves ID, Access Controls
Most organizations are challenged by having too much information in too many places. But Dieter Schuller of Radiant Logic says centralizing data can improve identity management.

Organizing the data: Federated identity systems are helping organizations collect data scattered across different systems, to manage it and control it from a centralized location, says Schuller, vice president of sales and business development for Radiant. "If you start to look at developing a whole profile, you have to clean up the mess that's in-house first," he says.

During this interview, Schuller discusses:

  • The ongoing challenges most organizations face when it comes to creating a single point of access;
  • Why disparate systems and networks pose challenges for efficient identity and access management;
  • How federated management systems can ensure organizations across numerous industries are complying with standard regulatory practices.

Schuller has more than 25 years of experience in enterprises-discover technology solutions. At Radiant Logic, he works with customers to leverage existing identity investments to support upcoming business initiatives. Dieter joined Radiant in 2001 from Orbit Commerce, later acquired by Digital River, where he developed a comprehensive sales and channel program that included direct sales, resellers and partners. Before Orbit, he was vice president of international sales for PLATINUM technology, a $1 billion systems software and services company.
