Tsahy Shapsa of CloudLock
Public cloud services can reduce costs for large enterprises, but they pose security risks that must be addressed, says Tsahy Shapsa of CloudLock.

As more large companies turn to public cloud services, such as Google Apps, to cut costs and increase employee productivity, they're looking for ways to ensure the level of security is adequate, Shapsa says.

In an interview, he:

  • Describes the issues involved in managing security in the cloud;
  • Pinpoints key security steps to take when using any public cloud service.

Shapsa is co-founder and vice president of sales and marketing at CloudLock. He works with CIOs and CISOs of Fortune 1000 companies that have adopted public cloud solutions. Prior to founding CloudLock, he held various business and technology management roles with Sun Microsystems and Network Appliance. He also served in the Israeli Prime Minister's office as a security team leader and an officer in the Israeli Defense Forces.
