Fox-IT's Chandler and Driehuis on Behavioral Analytics
How to Improve Cybercrime Tracking

With enhanced analytics, organizations and law enforcement are improving their ability to trace malware attacks and other advanced persistent threats, says Eward Driehuis of Fox-IT.

Large organizations and leading banking institutions have honed their abilities to use behavioral analytics to their greatest advantage, adds Fox-IT's Andy Chandler. Now it's time for smaller businesses and banking institutions to step up their efforts because they're becoming cybercriminals' latest targets.

During an interview at the RSA Conference 2014, Driehuis and Chandler discuss:

  • How cybercrime is evolving;
  • Common network and software vulnerabilities that international crime rings are exploiting; and
  • How behavioral analytics is encouraging information sharing and a more proactive approach toward crime prevention.

Driehuis is head of global product management for Fox-IT, where he leads the company's intelligence and Web session analytics products to combat criminal attacks.

Chandler has spent nearly 25 years in the technology sector, with nearly a decade in the military. Today he manages Fox-IT's Cyber intelligence team, InTELL, as well as the company's solution called DetACT.
