One of the most significant cybersecurity challenges facing the healthcare sector is coming up with strategies that work for organizations of broadly varying sizes, says Mark Jarrett, M.D., of Northwell Health.

In a video interview at Information Security Media Group's recent Healthcare Security Summit in New York, Jarrett discusses:

  • Why larger organizations should be able to donate cybersecurity services to smaller ones;
  • Driving cybersecurity at smaller organizations;
  • Fighting phishing attacks.

Jarrett is senior vice president, chief quality officer and associate chief medical officer at Northwell Health. He's also professor of medicine at Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine. He previously served as chief medical officer at Staten Island University Hospital, where he earlier served as its director of rheumatology. The physician is board certified in internal medicine, rheumatology and geriatrics. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Rheumatology, and past president of the Richmond County Medical Society.
