Warren Cooney
Assistant Vice President of Claims, AXIS Insurance
With more than 20 years of Financial Services and Insurance Industry experience, Warren Cooney is currently responsible for the Claims group at AXIS Insurance. Prior to joining AXIS in 2012, he served as a Complex Claims Director at AIG. Cooney has also spent time in Brussels, focused on insurance regulation, in the Financial Services Group of US law firm Steptoe & Johnson. Having started his Insurance career at a Commercial Insurance Brokerage, Cooney then worked in the Specialty Claims Group of Chubb and later in the Compliance Department of RBC Insurance. Additionally, he has spent time as a Senior Policy Advisor at Advocis, the financial advisors association of Canada, and in the Corporate Policy & Public Affairs Branch of the Financial Services Commission of Ontario.
